Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Biller to join our team. MUST be familiar with Eaglesoft dental program, and dental health insurances. As a Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing dental procedures and services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all billing processes are completed efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties:
- Review medical records and documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services
- Enter coded information into billing software or systems
- Verify the accuracy of patient demographic information and insurance details
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies or other third-party payers
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Maintain updated knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and changes in the healthcare industry
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices
- Provide support and assistance to the billing team as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding, and other coding systems
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing tasks
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50,355.00 - $53,062.00 per year
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
